Steel Truss and Lean-to info.

Our clear span steel trusses will require assembly. Trusses are manufactured in two pieces. Hardware to assemble pieces into one truss included.

Steel trusses, both gable and lean-to's, are designed with welded purlin clips to easily screw purlin during installation.

16-40' widths will have a standard 3/12 pitch. Pitch may adjust by request or by engineering for extreme conditions.

Lean-to's can be added to either side of the pole barn to achieve a raised center isle barn used commonly for livestock. Lean-to's are standard 1/12 pitch.

Included Hardware

Through bolts will be supplied to attach trusses to the posts.

Plenty of screws will be included for attaching purlin.

Options and upgrades.

Purchasing upgrades.

  1. Please decide upon a width and length of your building. Length must be in increments of 8, 10, or 12 feet.
  2. Decide upon which upgrades you will need for your pole barn.
  3. Contact us with the base kit you are interested in. In this message please include this info with inquiries so we can provide you with an accurate estimate:
    • State, County, Zip code
    • Width, Length and Eve Height
    • Any other options or upgrades

Eve Height Adjustments

Eve heights for our steel truss pole barn kits are standard at 10'. Upgrades to the eave height may require larger posts. This largely depends on the eave height, windload and snow load of the pole barn.

Extreme Wind Upgrades

Engineering a high wind load pole barn would require adjustments to our base kits. Windload Engineering capable up to 165.
Reference: A standard kit with 10' eave and 10'OC post placement will engineer up to 150mph without adjustment.

We are able to offer engineering for 39 states. Engineering Availability.

Please contact us for more information.

Extreme Snow Load Upgrades

We can engineer our steel truss buildings for 39 states. Please contact us for inquiries. Extreme snow load pole barns may increase the pole barns base price. This is dominantly based on the height of the barn and the psf requirement of your area. Custom trusses with steep rises may be required.

Shipping will be unique to each barn and the distance from our shop. Local deliveries can be handled by us for smaller pole barns. Rate is $1.50 per loaded mile up to a 200 mile radius. Rate is $2.00/mi beyond 200 miles.
Example: A 250 mile delivery will be charded $2.00 every mile for 250 miles.

For larger Pole Barns (extremely massive or very large with enclosure materials), 2 full dedicated 48' flatbeds may be required to ship the pole barn. Pick up is available if you have your own trailer or would like to set up shipping through your own source.

For long distance hauls less than a 48' flatbed requirement, UShip (an online auction broker) seems to be a popular route for previous customers. $3 per loaded mile if we ship over 1000 miles cross country.

Pole Barn and delivery to be paid in full prior to long distance deliveries.
